Model No. CH-302 Automatic Change Over Thermostat
FEATURES
The model CH-302 Automatic Change Over Thermostat is used on several DCA series dehumidifiers with the optional outdoor remote condenser. This thermostat offers two stages of cooling control and two stages of heating control covering a temperature range from 50°F to 90°F with a 2" differential between stages. It also features a two position blower control to operate with blower in the AUTO position or an ON position mode. The thermostat also has four additional system functions: HEAT, OFF, COOL and AUTO.
OFF:
In this position the compressor in the dehumidifier will not operate regardless of humidity or room temperature. The dehumidifier blower can be operated if the fan switch is placed on the ON position. It will run full-time until the switch is placed back in the AUTO position.
AUTO:
Normally, the AUTO position is the desired setting for the thermostat to cover all modes of operation. The compressor and blower will start on a call for dehumidification. The dehumidifier will deliver warm, dry air or cool dry air (if optional remote condenser is installed) to the room. Additionally, if the humidity requirement is satisfied but a need for room heating or cooling (if the optional remote condenser is installed) is present, the dehumidifier will operate until the desired room temperature is reached. Another feature of this thermostat is that it has the capability to provide second stage heating or cooling.
COOL:
The optional remote condenser must be installed in order for the COOL function to be used. In this setting the dehumidifier will provide only cool dry air to the room.
HEAT:
In the HEAT mode, the dehumidifier will operate if the
humidity in the room rises above the set point on the
humidistat or the room temperature falls below the
thermostat set point. No cooling will be delivered even if
a remote condenser is installed. This thermostat is
controlled by a 24 volt mercury switch connected by a six
wire low voltage cable to the dehumidifier.
